Steven Speilberg and Co really mailed it in. The story line doesn't hold together and has a "kitchen sink" feel to it. SS threw every idea at the wall to see what stuck. The addition of ET and Close Encounters into the mix was also a lame attempt to capitalize on other Spielberg franchises. Oh please! How come Harrison Ford can climb up steep hills and scamble down into caves but can't muster the energy to say his lines? This guy use to be charming!The only incredible spot in the movie was Cate Blanchette, who, once again proves how amazing an actress she is. Meryl Streep, watch out....you can't hold a candle to Cate, who completely can make you forget that she is playing a part whether as Queen Elizabeth or a caricature of some commie nutcase as in this movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
