Fun and Entertaining

My daughter -wife and I all went and had a great time - loads of humor - action - 3D was of very high quality and we watched it in London England (might I add their tickets prices are alot higher than the USA - $20 per seat) This and the first ones are the best. I love having Penelope Cruz in this she was great. The guy saving mermaid section was a little weak and very predictable. Overall tons of fun what a summer movie blockbuster should be. Go see it.

Thor Soars

Okay I have always been a Thor, Green Lantern fan for along time and I went to the Midnight showing of Thor in Imax 3-D. The movie has alot of very good moments and sets the stage for many more future Thor films. I liked alot but didn't totally love it.
His sidekicks are great and in the next film should get more screen time. Nat was believable as a cute scientists proving the way out theory. Evil guys were evil. THe fight scenes were done very well and the 3-D was okay. I think it gave depth to the computer generated worlds so it wasn't a negative. If I had a choice I would see it in 3-D. As you know my daughter goes with me to these midnight showings and she lost her breath when Thor goes shirtless as did most women.
He has a 12 pack and then some. Humor, Action, Fun, the only letdown was the last few minutes of the film just sorta layed things out for the future film but was lacking or it would have got a 5. Hang around thru the credits there is a scene worth watching. It sets up one of the villans for The Avengers. Go see it and have some fun.

Wait for video

This is amovie to wait for video. Fun first part and cute. Second part not so good went slow my brother said he could have napped in parts of it. Hop has great ideas and some funny moments just not enough and it gets lost when the chicken got involved. This made it boring. Drummer stuff was cool. Goes off point save $wait to rental red box
No, I do not recommend this movie.

FUn Fun Fun -

I went to the midnight showing in Imax with 350 others the audience laughed hard - cheered - and clapped at the end. No matter what critics say go see this movie.
It was a ton of fun - I thought the best one yet by far. Stay thru the credits for the surprise.. I had a blast - my daughter said best movie this year by far. It was a ton of fun. Don't go to criticize just go and enjoy. This is the first movie in a couple of years that I would pay to go see again.

Carnival is a blast as is Rio

Great fun for the whole family. I went with my daughter who is 17 and she loved it. Great music- lots of brazilian style beats - characters are good and you actually care for them. Great colors and animation - the feathers are amazing detail.
Loads of fun go see it and just try not to dance to the Carnival song.

Defending the undefensable

Matthew plays a lawyer who defends the scum of the earth with a few nice ones thrown in. He is supposed to develop a conscious thru the film and you can see his dilemma as it unfolds. I think having him in LA and not Memphis or Atlanta was a mistake. This movie doesn't fit LA nor does his accent. The story line is predictable and you see things coming a mile away but I did enjoy it and felt I got my money's worth. They took the time in this to make characters develop and I appreciate that. Too many films just throw things at you and you wonder why? Usually becaue they want to get a movie done in a specific time like 90 minutes so you lose out on charater development.
Have fun and if you enjoy Matthew you will like this movie. If not wait for DVD and rent it.

Interesting concept - Fun

I liked this movie alot for a couple of reasons. The time conundrum was cool to think that you could go back in and change a result to save lives. The 3 leads do a good job Jake stands out as the lead and he keeps your interest. He also gets you to feel for his plight as it progresses.
If you have a chance see this movie but don't ask alot of questions. Critics always ask or try to find things wrong instead of trying to find things that were enjoyable. It is a fun film for what it is.

If I have a question it would be could they send him back to change his fate from the helicopter crash that put him there in the first place? Second, if you are changing events where people don't die are you changing the future for all those involved for the good or bad?

Great Action-goofy story

First the good - Sadirse is outstanding in this film. She makes Hanna a strong character.
Cate Blanchett makes you hate her so much in this film as a eveil person not for her acting. The action sequences are very good.
Now the bad - the story line is a quandry of unanswered questions- it doesn't fill in details, it leaves alot of things unanswered. The psycho gay pedophile as the henchmen is laughable as our his 2 partners. The best scene in the movie is when Hanna and this boy she meets sit next to each other and he wants to kiss her and when he tries she almost kills him. My daughter was squirming in her seat and we laughed hard at this. The british girl who becomes Hanna's friend talks to much and you tune her out. The young kid having a crush on her is stupid. The parents are morons. Character development and story line other than Hanna and the evil Cate is about it. It is like Taken in one sense - "Kill Everybody" Source Code was much better. but for teen girls to have a strong girl kick butt my daughter loved it.

Girl Power

Okay the kick butt action sequences are great - the story line is iffy. The first part of the movie is confusing. My daughter and her friend went and they enjoyed it and said it was worth going. It had some flaws but overall was fun. The Imax experience was awesome part of the show - try and see it there to get full special effects - regular screen is less fun. My daughter and her friend dressed up as characters except bringing the swords not allowed in the theater. Who Knew? She didn't like Vanessa Hudgens crying in the middle of the movie thought it made her look weak and didn't fit in story line. Want to see kick butt action go-if you want a plot and story line to follow skip this one - cause it anit there.

Suspenseful Romanace

My daughter and I went last night so you get a 17 yr old and 50 yr old perspective. We both loved it. Intelligent romance with a suspensful plot. Theater was packed so we ended up in front row so we didn't get the full effect of some actionscenes being so close. Thought provoking and for all of you who have met someone - loved someone- or just wonder where a special person is, this movie will make you think -Did I meet them by chance? Was it Fate? Were they part of my plan for only a while and why? So it was fun and my daughter thinks Matt Damon is hot-hot hot so that didn't hurt either. Witty thought provoking go see it just dont be late or you will get bad seats cause theaters are packed. If you give 20 points per star this movie gets 92 so I had to give it 5 stars.
