Hauntingly Powerful

From the first frame...this movie just takes off with continual action. Numerous twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat. We were in a packed theatre, and the stranger to the left of me spent the whole 2.5 hours of the movie litterally pitched forward on the edge of her seat with her hands poised on each side of her face ready to cover her eyes (which she did throughout the film).
Heath Ledger's Joker was so powerful, it is haunting me 3 days later. The character portrayal was brilliant - with multiple physical ticks, such as licking his lips - that just stick in your head. The movie is like an amusement park thrill ride, it makes you feel qeasy, light headed, frightened and elated all at once.
