This wasn't even good for a comic book movie. The special effects were good...but not great. Predictable is one thing but there was nothing to this at all. The Green Lantern could have died and I would have been ok with it. The movie was slow to start, even giving latitude for having to fill in story line. There were parts that should have been cut because they simply were filler that did nothing for the movie. No depth, no drama, no suspense. It wasn't on par with the Marvel movie remakes.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Good for a matinee

Good storyline, though I think it could have been developed more. Little slow in some parts but the story moved along well. Fight scenes were good. Channing Tatum was a bit out of his league on this one but Jamie Bell compensated and held the two together well.
Worth seeing though I'd recommend going to a less expensive matinee.
The trailers do not do this movie justice. This is an incredible movie! Well written and acted with good special effects.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I watched it after hearing about all the bad reviews. I thought, surely it can't be that bad. It is. I can forgive the bad casting, and the mediocre acting. It is the writing & directing that I can't get past. The movie is choppy, with horrible dialogue and sallow characters. What should be incredible special effects are poorly crafted and always done in an annoying slow motion.
If you love the series...don't watch this. If you've never seen the series...wait for DVD.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I asked a friend of mine to join me to see this movie. It is a great way to witness. This is such a touching movie, I dare anyone to keep a dry eye. The acting, directing, and cinematography was really good too.
The movie was good. It felt like Clash of the Titans meets Harry Potter with a touch of Narnia thrown in.
Decent acting. The flow of the movie could have been better, there were parts that dragged as the story was trying to be developed. Worth seeing on a matinee...not sure I would have been as happy paying full price for it though.
This had to be the worst movie I've seen in a long time. The plot was stupid and dragged on. The times they tried to build suspense fell flat. I was on the edge of my seat...getting ready to leave the theater. It was a bad rip off of other good movies. And the ending was insulting.
