Don't Expect the Book

If you love the books then you will be sorely disappointed by this film. It only vaguely follows the book (at least the character names are the same) and leaves a true fan wondering how the producer could fill up 2 ½ hours with nothing.
Unnecessary scenes were added and crucial scenes were omitted. The basic premise followed the book but that is where the similarity ended. My son enjoyed the movie because he didn’t expect much, I wondered why I paid full price and my daughter raged all the way home about the worthlessness of the film.
If you never read the book and have only followed the movies you will probably like this film. However if you’ve read the book – don’t expect much.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
