Way too violent

I thought the movie was dark and very violent. I have never done this before, but I left my friend to watch the rest of the move by himself after sitting in the theatre for an hour. I was hoping the movie would begin to enlighten me, but after an hour, I couldn't watch any longer. Of course, my friend told me I should have stayed until the end because, at the end, the entire movie made sense.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
