Save your money on the 3D Version. Having seen both, it's not worth the extra. That said, what a terrific movie. I'm glad I have grandchildren, or I would have missed this delite. It hits on all counts. It's both funny and sad, it's never dull, and poignant. How often do we get to see youngsters interact with the elderly on film. I came away feeling fulfilled. This is a highly entertaining animated film and extremely well written.
As an avid Indy fan, I went with high expectations. How could this miss...Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, a great formula from the past. But it missed the target completely. Sometimes great special effects, for the sake of creating excitement has the opposite effect. I found myself bored at times. And, inexplicable action with silly outcomes. On the positive side, I did enjoy Cate Blanchett as the evil Russian villainess. Fans will go and they will clap and cheer, but if they are honest, they will come away feeling that they should have left well enough alone.
