Any one who gives this movie more than two stars must be a shill for the production company. I've been a sci fi fan for decades and even enjoy the cheesy B movies. This movie had "A" special effects, but plot (was there one of those?) character development, resolution, even logical sense went out the window! The story idea was great and had potential, but they dropped the ball so much I can't say I enjoyed it. I might've given it two stars if they'd stayed with the first ending. But the final 5 minutes was a second ending which was so stupid I rolled my eyes so hard I got a headache. It totally destroyed whatever good feeling I had for this um, film. If you're a hard core scifi junkie, DON'T let your curiosity be your downfall. Pretend you didn't see the attractive previews and wait for the DVD rental. Seriously.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I went into this movie with my teenaged daughter expecting that i'd catch up on my sleep during another B Grade superhero movie while waiting for Iron Man 2 to come out. What a shocker! It's been a long time since I've been so thouroughly entertained by a movie. What a Fresh concept with unexpected plot twists... do yourself a favor and see this movie if you like laughter thrills and a new take on the superhero Genre. BTW the less you know about it, the more fun you'll have... WARNING! The bloody scenes are too much for younger kids.
Very clever trailer makes you REALLY want to see what is "happening"! However, many of the scenes from the trailer had were obviously only created for the sake of the trailer, eg "we've lost contact." "with who?" "everybody". The explanation was annoying-- who needs another lecture on the environment. Aliens, or a terrorist attack would've been better and made more sense. Pretty sad, huh? I mean, according to their explanation, the entire human race should've been wiped out. Quickly. Having said that, be patient, the movie would be a fun DVD rental. It seemed like a hitchcock movie-- lots of suspense and thrilling moments, even scary at times. Suspend your disbelief and it's a fun ride. DVD yes, Movie dollars (plus gasoline) NO!
