Perhaps they should have produced two part movies for all of the last four books. Because of the additional time available, the DH Part 1 did a much better job of conveying the intent of JKR.
Although it is the darkest of all the movies, it almost had to be -- most of DH is very dark.
The production values were excellent and the use of animation was very effective.
Though the acting (for the most part) was excellent, I thought it suffered some compared to previous movies in the series. Understandable since it must be impossible for the actors to maintain the same drive after this many years.
