Very cheesy start but ended up well

My opinion ended up being much better than it first started. The acting and singing in the beginning was too far overdone and over dramatized. I even thought Meryl Streep was really stooping beneath herself with her vast accomplishments. I was dreading the singing and just looking forward to pure dialog. As the movie progressed it did improve. It became more heartfelt. Loved Pierce Brosnan even though his singing was absolutely horrible but he's just so good to look at. Colin Firth had a surprisingly nice voice and so good to look at too. It did end up being a very funny and delightful movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
