There are so many funny, over the top performances in this thing it's hard to single one out. But I have to say, Downey just gets better as the movie goes on. A master stroke. Even the minor characters are memorable. Heads up for Tom Cruise. You gotta give him his due. Heads up for Matthew McConaughey as a bottom feeding agent who actually REDEEMS himself. A politically incorrect satire and at times gross and totally funny. Yes, yes, yes!

This is the kind of movie people will not flock to see but will be a force to be reckoned with at Oscar time. Maybe summer was the wrong time to release this thoughtful, moving and VERY exciting story of an extremely misunderstood man. A historical epic that you don't see that often anymore, it doesn't depend on hacking and hewing (although there is plenty of that, don't worry!) for entertainment. The final battle is a thing of terrible beauty. Flawless acting, breath taking panoramas. The works. Go see it on the big screen.
