If you like the book - DON'T see this movie!

I have read all 5 PJ&O books and was SO dissapointed by this film. This director left out many main charatcers (Mr. D, the Oracle, and Clarisse to name just a few) and the main story line that continues throughout the series - which totally blew my mind! No mention of Kronos at all, other than the fact that his children cut him up into little pieces and threw him into Tartarus. Chris Columbus did a great job with bringing HP from book to screen, but did a very poor job with this one. Just read the books, they are so much better, but if you do choose to see this movie, I promise you will want your money back!

Overall, the movie was good. The special effects were incredible as usual and the actors have definitely come into their own. Of all the movies they have done, this one was the shortest, which was weird considering it was the 2nd longest book in the series. I felt like there was so much that was left out that was important to the story line, but I won't say what because I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read the book yet. And the final fight scene could have been more dramatic than it was. I still say that you should see it for yourself!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
