Was a fan of the original movies and series, so was looking forward to seeing it, but feeling here we go with another remake.
But it was ok, filmed in a manor that made you cheer for the apes. A couple of nostalgic moments when a db guard is watching a Charlton Heston movie on tv in his little office right before he drops the line "Get your stinking paws off me you damned dirty apes"
Kind of surprised it goes a PG-13, a little awkward in the theater when a 5-6yr old kid is asking his idiot father to take him out because it's too scary But all the same good way to kill a few hours
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Did they run out of cash?

The 2/3rd's of the movie wasn't bad, a little of the usual everyone can drive like a professional in Europe with crazy chases. Some of the characters were... decent characters.
But the last third, well that sucked, ending became predictable, and silly. Think they spent all of their cash on a big old explosion at the end. January Jones.... HAWT Liam as anything but an Irish man.... nah.. you could hear me chuckle when he declared his nationality as American during the movie..
Overall the ending killed something with decent potential.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

RED had me in stitches, great movie from beginning to end. Lots of subtle funny moments, even the scene of John malkovich saying 'old my ass' after he shoots an RPG with a single bullet, as funny as it was in the trailer was 10 time better in the movie!
Within the first 5 mins, the director blows your concept of alien movies out of the water.
You will literally hear people in the theater say "what? ..." with disbelief at the concept presented to you.
The twist is at the start of the movie, M. Night Shyamalan would be blown away. The rest of the movie isn't exactly predictable but it doesn't surprise you as much.
Beautiful concept, average acting, accents and dialogue are a little tough, hence subtitles, but so worth watching
I've been a cult classic fan all my life, but Rob Zombie has out done everyone else. With more gruesome detail, than I ever thought possible. Not for the faint of heart. This movie actually made me say 'holy ....' out loud in the cinema
