When deciding on whether going to see a movie in the theater these days is really worth the cost I listen to what critics and viewers of advance screenings say.
Unfortunately, they may love a movie that I hate, and vice versa. So it helps when they say why they like or do not like a movie... what it was that satisfied them or turned them off.
So, what can I write that hasn't already been written, or said, already. Everything about this movie was outstanding, and not just from a standard superhero/action/adventure movie standpoint. It has so much more depth and complexity than even it's predecessor, Batman Begins.
Each of the major characters is head and shoulders above where they were in the previous movie. Even some of the most minor characters, in their brief appearances on screen, have more impact than those in most any other movie out there now.
Everyone has said, and I'm confident will continue to say that Heath Ledger delivers an Academy Award winning performance. It's true, he absolutely does, without question.
Well, I guess I have one question - How is anyone going to follow THAT act?
Yes, I recommend this movie.
