After all the hype and expectation, I was not disappointed. The technical work was astounding, and even though the retro 3D glasses were uncomfortable, the 3D feature added to the marvel. Facial/body communication was amazing, and even though the plot was simplistic and overused, it forged a foundation for future sequels--hopefully sooner rather than later. See it for the utter pleasure, and leave the sociological discussions for later.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
