If alll you want is stunts and action it is a great movie. Disappointing overall. Plot was pretty transparent. Jolie does great stunts, which was the focus of the film, thus precluding any challenges from the actors for having to rely on their talents as actors! I I would not recommend.
I would not usually choose to see a Jolie film. Other than her breakout role in Gia,I have been unimpressed with Jolie's talent as an actor. Most of the time she relies on sensationalistic plots, and stunts to sustain her reputation as an actor.
Went with my teens. They liked it.

Acting and screenplay fabulous. If you haven't read the book, the twists and turns of the story are amazing.

Funny People started out very slow. The storyline in the script was awful! Seth Rogan and Adam Sandler did have some funny lines; however, it was a go nowhere, dull movie.
My teenagers found it engaging, but not the best movie they have ever seen.
The film was way too long. 90 minutes would have more than sufficed!!!!! The schtick might have worked better.

Funny, well written. Great date movie! Would reccommend for a fun romantic romp. Always love Heigl. The chemistry between Heigl and Butler was fabulous!

Fabulous movie for a fan of the series!!! Continues on a few years later. Written and acted very well. Translated well from series to movie, felt like I had not missed a beat. Love the celebration of friendship in these characters and the storyline.
