Engaging and poignant as a movie. Wonderful re-experiencing of Phil Ochs, incredible singer and songwriter. Hearing him sing those uniquely literate and lyrical songs again, and seeing them in social context was fresh and alive. His touching and ultimately distrubing personal story was sadly relevant but didn't overwhelm the film. It all comes together and you leave feeling he and his music should not be forgotten. See this in a theater.
Divine to watch and listen to. Slow moving but you want it to linger. Michelle Pfeiffer is too skinny, alas, but gorgeous none-the-less. Truly a Belle Epoque beautiful epic and a sensual pleasure..
great film--beautifully shot and edited; engagingly paced and acted; even the music and sounds were dramatic. I really was absorbed--if only it didn't get so goofy trying to action up the ending...but certainly worth watching.
