Great and Not so Great

Little Hailee Steinfeld was outstanding, Matt Damon was just OK and Jeff Bridges, when you could understand what he was saying, was just an older cowboy version of the "Dude". Some fun parts and some not so fun parts, too. Like the ending was certainly not outstanding. All in all, entertaining. Oscar winner for best picture - absolutely NOT. Steinfeld for best supporting actress - PERHAPS.

Unrealistic Green Tilt

Obviously, it was a great movie and it should be for all the money they spent on it. The movie was very much tilted toward the still unproven Green theory of submit or the world dies. I'm sure the energy spent on this film will leave a carbon footprint from here to China and back. One more critical issue is that It made the antagonists unusually ugly and though they were not US military they all were greedy Americans' out to reak havoc. I wish once in a while Hollywood could be nice to the country that has made them millionaires.

on the fringe of a chick flick

If I was a woman I know I would have given this film high marks because it has massive chick appeal. Although the story line was a bit beyond belief, it was excellent and the film had a strong yet imaginative ending.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Refining the undertaker

Excellent story with a heartfelt ending. The story unwinds and the characters live by their feelings but learn to realize that the fear of the unknown is not the fear they thought.

Unusual Format

The way the movie flashes back made it unusual and superb. It generated excitement gong forward while intriging in its past bringing you up to its current time frame.

Burn after Reading

Excellent Coen Brother's fun movie. Stupidity rules throughout the cast which adds to its hilarious entertainment. If you don't like this movie you definitely need to lighten up because you have no sense of humor.
