A fun, high energy movie. Story was weak, but entertainment was high. Cher sings with maturity and emotion - much better than when she was young and at that time her voice was strong but one dimensionable. Christina Aguilelera has a powerful voice and has good moves. It was worth it. Don't expect great drama or layered acting. It's just a fun movie.
From my perspective most of the movie was focused on sex. The story could have been softer and more sensitive (which was the ending). But it took a long time and much sex to get there. Some issues were silly and not necessary.
Waste of time and money. Story seemed to be contrived.. Actors gave impression that they were reading lines rather than acting. Woody Allen can do much better than this...or maybe he no longer can.
Olive Stone is not a genius in terms of movie making. This move did not flow well. The plot was contrived. The action jumped around. The story just never was compelling.
The movie was an abomination. It was noisy, vulgar, gratuitous, shallow, poorly directed and written and not funny. Thecharacters were one dimensional. Why this movie was made is a mystery. People exiting also thought it was very bad.
The movie was okay. Some scenes were extraneous and added nothing to the movie but length. Some of the scenes were much to loud, yellong and screaming were a distraction. Scenes jumped around and distracted from the flow of the move. Meryl Streep has a fabulous voice and can reallly move as can her two midde aged sidekicks. Actress who played Streep's daughter was miscast. But the movie was fun and could have been more fun. Director should have figured out that noise and quick cuts do not equate with entertainment.
