Burton's first 3D film is a visual feast, the story is fresh and well done. Enjoyed it and recommend it. Nice to see a film that wasn't two and half hours long. Bring me a pig for my feet!

Thank you J.J. Having watched ST since the 60's in my Grandmother's living room, this is a great version for 2009.
I hope there are more.
Note to the hardheads in the theater. Behave yourself and keep your mouth shut. Thanks.

This is dark, boring and not funny. The trailer was cute and fast paced. The movie is deadly. I wanted to leave but after paying $10.50 I was going to watch it to the end. At least it was only an hour and twenty minutes and change.
I was really disappointed. I wish I had seen the Will Smith movie instead. It was my friend's choice to the see the mouse. Skip the mouse! Enjoy the trailer, it has better timing.

This is a film worth seeing. You will learn things you didn't know, you will see great acting. There is good and evil. It is just a little too long. I think every director has to leave something out and Luhrmann should have left out about 10-15 minutes. I thought the country wide shots were fantastic but the film wasn't as sharp or colorful as it could have been. I did learn again that kissing Nicole Kidman must be an out of world experience. See this film, just don't take a large drink in with you. A large film for a large audience, young and old. Four Stars.
