Very cute movie with shades of Hitch

This was a very cute movie and my 9 year old son loved it. The only thing my husband and I were thinking was that it had shades of "Hitch" to it. The animals were teaching Kevin James how to win a woman instead of Will Smith this time. Still a good movie though and I would recommend it for a good summer movie with the kids.

good movie, but nothing like the book

Took my seven year old son to see this after he read several of the books in the series. While he enjoyed the movie, he commented that it was NOTHING like the book. Same characters, but that's about it. Other than that, if was very enjoyable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie - but I like Tarantino. Honestly had forgotten it was a Tarantino movie, I was going to see Brad Pitt. The interviews I had seen with him lead me to believe this was a dark comedy. It WAS that, but with all the graphic violence that comes with a Tarantino film. Just had to adjust my expectations at that point. Very intense, very graphic, but Brad Pitt was very entertaining. This is a WAR movie. For anyone who thinks they are going to see Hogans Heroes - it is NOT! As long as you are a Tarantino fan, you will LOVE this movie!
