The movie was totally awesome. I thought everyone was great and there were a few surprises (for me, anyway), which I loved. I am a fan of the original Star Trek series and TNG, and it was true to both, and yet still great in it's own right. It reached that delicate balance.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
