This movie was a super surprise. I had no idea how complex or brilliant J Edgar Hoover was and it was fun watching his story evolve.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

What's not to love??? This movie shows children and adults the history of the movie and what happens to artists when trends change and their work goes out of fashion. It subtly illustrates the horror of World War 1 for for France and what it did to the average French Person. Finally, it illustrates how innocence, wonder and a child's courage can transform lives. There are so many layers in this movie that it's great for Adults and children over the age of 7. It is too complex for younger children and they get bored.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Two very different people hook up and change in a good way in this very fine movie. France is the perfect place to tell this story as they are so open and closed at the same time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A Man's Point of View

I enjoyed this movie because it showed men and boys being just that. Many of the reviewers have talked about how the main character was a bad father. I would say he was a learning father. I also appreciated the fact that his grieving was dealt with in an honest way.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
