Lots of talented actors behaving inanely in a ridiculous story with little relevance to anything meaningful. Little if any character development. Phoenix should be locked away in rehab for six months.
Cons lousy script, waste of talent

Firth'sperformance was excellent.
And the story was very interesting in reflecting the different attitudes surrounding homosexuality in 1962. But overall it was very depressing. Especially the ending.
