Did not believe going in that anyone could capture Marilyn, but MIchelle Williams is quite compelling and totally engages the viewer as "Marilyn." Excellent cast, well done.

It is difficult to believe that this movie is getting such positive reviews. We went to see the movie on that basis, but unless this movie is a comedy--we were ;laughing at the movie, not with it--it fails miserably. The plot is pasted together will nilly without logic or reason. The ending works, but it does not repair the ineptitude that precedes it. Go see this movie at your own peril.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

There are so few well-crafted, truly funny movies. Pirate Radio makes the most of a wonderful story and then of course there is the music that is like fine wine in support of an excellent meal. The excellent performance by Phillip Seymour Hoffman and a perfect cast make this a movie well worth the price of admission.
