I am a huge Johnny Depp fan. I also like Christian Bale, outside of his ill mannerred personal life. When I chose to go see this movie, it was with the understanding that they would both at least do something interesting. Well, I was wrong. Neither one of them did anything worthy of note. I found it compelling that this is a Michael Mann movie, and it therefore has a great deal of promise. While Heat was charged and fast moving, this movie drug along to the eventual end of the movie and the end of Dilinger. RIP for both...2 1/2 hours I will never get back.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Fast & Furious

There' usually a point at which sequels 'jump the shark' and become ridiculous. The previous Fast and Furious sequels certainly had done that. You had to be a serious gear head to enjoy 2 & 3.
That being said, this movie ROCKS. Seeing it with a sold out crowd at midnight last night was exciting. The plot was well written, very satisfying, and made sense.
There wasn't anything I didn't like in the movie and given the sequel issues above, that was surprising. It's one of those movies you leave feeling different, like you feel really good about spending that time there and you leave really satisfied.
Everyone who loved the 1st movie should DEFINITELY see this one.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
