It's a rags to riches story of a selfless wealthy family taking in a homeless youth. It also hinted how he kept away from many bad influences though living on the streets and how he achieved a great career. My family(Son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters) and I went to this movie and totally enjoyed the film. One of the best movies I've seen in a while. For those who cry at movies, bring tissues.
Best movie I've seen in a while. Meryl Streep nails Julia. She got the accent just right. There was applause in the theater after the film. If you want to be transported to Paris in the late 40's and 50's this film does it. It also takes you to Queens NY in the early 90's. I think the length of the film was just right. Except for some profanity, I highly recommend this film.
I liked the movie because it wasn't glitzy. It was down to earth and unusual love story. Benjamin Button took time to enjoy the small things in life. I didn't realize the story was so long until my daughter looked at her watch. It certainly kept our attention.
Special effects were great. The story was good, but didn't explain many questions about Klaatu and Gort and the other civilations that sent them to the earth. It also didn't explain who shot Klaatu and who ordered the person to shoot.
