Walked out after one hour. Can't remember the last time I did that. And we weren't the only ones. There was a mass exodus from this movie's idiotic dialogue, concept and acting. Waste of $33 and a precious hour of life.

...but I found this movie slow and tedious. All seemed so contrived and overdone. Could have skipped the first hour.

This is a difficult story presented in a lovely, engaging and tasteful way. A celebration of hugely challenging circumstances. Superb acting, thoughtful script; certainly worth seeing.

Disappointing; destined to be forgotten

After all the positive reviews, was quite disappointed. Felt like the movie started 15 minutes in -- never established the relationship between the husband and the wife. Kept waiting to be swept up in the plot, and it never happened. Unfortunately, the kind of movie you've forgotten the next day.

Simply awful

First half had promise, then second half devolved into gratuitous blood and guts. Movie turned so ridiculous that audience burst out laughing (when it wasn't hiding its eyes). Worst movie I have seen in a long time.

Amazing, powerful movie. Watch the twists and turns carefully, leading up to a breathtaking climax. Surprised there hasn't been more buzz about this movie.

Might well have been called "The Longest Year." The audience was vocally grateful that it had to sit through only four seasons. Skip it.
