Although fimilar with the Star Trek Franchise, I am by no means a "Trekie" or even a fan.
With that said, this movie is AWESOME!!!!
I saw it with my wife and her son. Eveyone loved it. Action packed, great story, great effects, and the character protrails by relatively new-comers was great. It's funny too.
Only one or two (well placed) swear words, only a suggestive scene, nothing to worry about if you have kids. Even the "violence" is OK, no gorry visuals or other unnecessary filth that has ruined far too many a movie in the past.
Go see this movie. People cheered in the begining and applause at the end.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
