The Half-Blood Prince is (I’m sad to say) merely a good movie that had a chance at greatness. I am of course talking about the death of Albus Dumbledore. Why deviate from the text on this most important of plot points, why did they not give it the time and care it deserved, does anyone really think that Harry would just stand by and watch as Draco points his wand at Dumbledore or better yet listen to Snape in such a situation? David Yates, Steve Kloves and Producers David Heyman and David Barron really had a chance to make a great movie not merely a good one and the irony of it all is that they wouldn’t have lost one ticket sale because of it. Gentlemen, don’t let the Grail slip by and return us all to a Wasteland which none can afford.
