A Very Pleasant Surprise

I was skeptical about seeing this movie after seeing all of the other Star Trek movies, but the characters and performances were spot on. Great action and special effects and just an all-around entertaining movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I was pleasantly surprised with this entire movie. I feared that the only funny parts of the movie were in the trailer, but that was not the case. The cast was great -- Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway were perfectly cast. They paid homage to the TV series, which was great. There was a ton of action, great stunts and special effects. Wow...it was really fantastic. I kept waiting for the movie to slow down or get to the point where I felt like I could go to the bathroom and not be afraid to miss something interesting, but that never happened. It pulled me in and kept me involved in the movie. I never really cared that much for the TV show, but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. What are you waiting for? Go see it!
