Terrific, sensitive, gentle, and open-hearted movie. Nominations for best movie, best original screenplay, and best actor, and best director are a shoe-in. Beautifully done. It is elegiacal and celebratory at the same time. And it is a wonderful way to book-end this year - with the passage of Prop-8 and the election of Obama with his grass roots tactics, this movie traces a lot of the origins of the themes of this year. Uplifting, tragic, thought-provoking, warm, and inspirational. What else is there to say?
Yes, I recommend this movie.
