The guys were in top form for this one. If only all movies I saw in theaters were as worthy of my time and money as this one!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Despite "Plan 9" being covered by Mystery Science Theater 3000 back in the day, the Rifftrax guys really did an amazing job on riffing it again in this performance. Not to mention they also added a little music to the mix, plus an all new hilarious short, so it really felt like a complete entertainment experience, and was well worth the crazy movie theater prices! It was awesome!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Very good interpretation of the book

While this film isn't perfect, it's definitely a very good film. There are so many details from the book that couldn't be fit into movie form, or portrayed in a movie, but that's not the fault of Snyder - I think he did the best job that anyone could do of making the book into a film. One of my biggest complaints is the excessive violence and use of special effects for the fight scenes - not because I'm adverse to violence, but because it gives the impression that these heroes are martial arts experts, and they really aren't in the book. But the direction overall was very good, the acting and the casting was excellent, and it made me cry at the end just like the book. Definitely recommended.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Movie of the Year

This should have won for Best Picture of 2008 - it is only the genre prejudice of the Academy that prevented it from being this. This is the fourth time I've seen this film, and every time it just gets better. I noticed subtleties this time around that I hadn't before. The storytelling is detailed and meaningful - the scriptwriters have honed their craft, and it shows. The direction is exciting and realistic. The acting, of course, is stellar - for everyone. All in all, truly the best film of the year, and one that has changed everything for superhero films forever. This is what superhero stories should be like - inspiring, thought-provoking, exciting, and fun.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
