Amazing, but not for kids

This movie goes beyond anything people have thought a superhero/comic book movie could be. This is a crime thriller that just happens to have the lead characters in costumes. The term "Dark Knight" covers more than just Batman. This is an ensemble movie with career performances by all of the leads (Bale, Ledger, Oldman, Eckhart). I don't want to get into details of the movie. But I will say this is not for little kids. I took my sons (now 7 and 5) to see the PG-13 "Spiderman 3", but this movie drifts much closer to an R rating. The violence and overall dark tone of the movie are something kids at least 10 and under do not need to see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
