I thought this was a good movie. I was surprised that it was underwhelming on it's first weekend at the box office. I suppose it was the demographic of primarily people over 35 who saw the movie. I would not have seen this movie if J. Depp was not in it. Having a different actor than A. Hammer may have given it better reviews; there were times that his acting did not sell the character. Two and a half hours may be a little long. These may be factors that kept people away. I would recommend this movie, however.
