I am a long time Trekie and loved every film, but this edition sets the standard. The characters for the most part are believeable and well acted. New Spock is great, but its hard to beat the old Spock.
The special efects are amazing. The story moves at an exciting fast pace.
As usual there are a few sequences that stretch the imagination...but just a few. Kirk's miraculous regen from massive radiation was a stretch, but you knew Kirk had to live on to seek new worlds. A very enjoyable way to spen a short Two Hours. This is the first Star Treck my wife also enjoyed. That's saying a lot as she is not a SF fan.
