A very good movie but not great. And a MOM's review.

My son and I (who did NOT read the book) thought it was pretty good. Fast paced, intense, action, story line, but my husband and 2 sons (who DID read the book) thought it did not keep to the book or the Zombie genre as a whole, and were disappointed.
So far as an action movie, it's pretty good. If you're going because of the book, you may be disappointed.
Now as a mom, who has taken her younger boy (10 yrs old) to a few PG-13 movies (Iron Man, Avengers etc) I thought this one was going to be ok for him too. In hindsight, I should not have taken him. It wasn't gory or anything, but there was suggested gore. And it was very much a jump in your seat a few times for him and I. And he buried his head a few times. SO use caution for younger viewers.
