After a story has been retold countless times in film, written word, and verbal telling, how do you tell it again without losing your audience? Apparently you change a few of the basic tenets and add your own twist. It actually works pretty well in this movie, but purists will not be happy with even the most minor of changes in the basic story. The cast melds and blends well and the overall effect is both exciting and pleasing. It's amazing how some of the stars who used to be tier one feature film actors actually do some of their best work in a supportive role. Again, overall a mostly good film, unless you are a purist, to whom this story in its original form is sacred. I enjoyed it a great deal .
