The beginning is awesome and gives a better context to the origin and characters which gave birth to Superman. But then we skip his development and how he grew up in Kansas as a "normal kid." We fly through his character development which makes you fall in love with him and root for him in the movies. The bad guys specifically the bad girl fought better than Superman and almost had you cheering their coolness on. I never cheered for Superman and he seemed to need help all the time from Lois Lane and the soldiers in order to beat General Zod and his soldiers. Not good kinda lame also not in character how he killed Zod. Good movie just good.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
