A lot of times, the second movie will not be as good as the first. That is not the case for this movie. It is just as good if not better since they didn't have to reintroduce the main characters to us.
I took my older teens to the midnight showing. We all had a great time. It was action packed, and had some unexpected twists and turns. It was great to see Spock show some emotion and to continue to watch the friendship of Spock and Kirk grow.
I would add more but don't want to ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it, yet. For parents though, there are a few places where "damn" and such were used. It was not a lot. There was no nudity although one scene had Kirk getting out of bed with 2 girls with tails who were in bra and panties. I don't think the movie would be good for those with kids who do not like loud noises, too. Just wanted to add that.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.
