There could have been a back story to a few more characters and more involvement of a few others. You have the KING of Die Hard making an appearance, but he does just enough to have a "lead type" role. It is confusing where he actually fit in...other than the forced dialogue to confirm this curiosity. The Rock did a pretty good job and added a bit of humor to the movie. I was surprised when they introduced certain actors in the movie, then just left them out entirely (Destro). It was disappointing. It was what was expected for a sequel and keeps the door open for the next one in line.
