I thought this movie was very entertaining. I loved the black and white part of the story in the beginning and then the sudden burst into the color portion. The story kept in line with the original movie so you could see how the stories would later blend together. But this story stands on it's own, too, and has a lot of originality! I loved the monkey bellhop! My warning is that this movie is not for young children! There are many really scary parts that will frighten small children long after the movie ends and if you see it in 3D some of the scary things are right in your face! All in all I was very entertained. I also thought that Mr. Franco did a good job as the Wizard, contrary to some critics. I'm glad that I got to see this film. I'm a big kid and I love this stuff!
Pros great story, fun additions, wizard was believable, good witch well done, monkey bellhop, liked how the witches started out, special effects!
Cons some slow parts, too scary for young kids!, bad witch acting was mediocre, a lot of the dialog was inaudible!, torture of the good witch!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
