Excellent movie. I was in the Royal Canadian Navy as a junior officer and we took the Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor and his wife to Sacramento on the HMCS Qu'Appelle in the spring of 1980 for an official reception. What a party! Nice to see a great movie that is based on a true incident, not fiction, and no crazy special effects, just a great story. Too bad some of the details about the Shah were not correct but this wasn't meant to be a documentary film. Hard to believe the American Embassy was so poorly prepared for the events. Lots has changed since then I hope.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
