An interesting movie, though not entirely fulfilled. Of course I want to know what FDR and George VI talked about on the eve of America's coming into the war to aid Britain. Actors playing FDR and George VI fine as is their dialogue. I also want to know what George VI and his wife Elizabeth said to each other in private while staying at Hyde Park as guests of the American president. Here, I was disappointed. The actress playing Elizabeth was the weakest link in the act8ng ensemble.. She hit her characterization over the head with a non-queenly sledge hammer. Laura Linney gives a sensitive portrait of FDR's shy cousin-lover. Appreciated the insight into FDR's polygamous sexual life -- it follows that a powerful president would have a big unusual sex life despite being in a wheelchair. All in all, a good movie with the potential of being great which it doesn't fulfill..
