If you were impressed by Batman Begins and the Dark Knight, then hopefully you will enjoy TDKR. I didn't. 3 new characters are introduced but only one was captivating. Fell asleep multiple times during the villain scenes and forced myself to rewatch the movie another day to see if it would be more tolerable. it wasn't. The effects and most of the acting were there, but the story wasn't worthy to be in the franchise.

Movie was slow at times (probably to allow for the book to become a trilogy) but still told an engaging story with very good special effects (save the fire which often looked fake).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
