Went to see this movie on opening night at midnight because I just needed to get out. Not a huge Tom Cruise fan but a fan of the storyline, the movie is fairly close to the story from the book. Cruise plays a very believable Jack Reacher with enough wit and sarcasm thrown in to portray how Reacher is in the books. The military elements of the movie were not forced and had actual accuracy (rifle, reloading table, War in Iraq).
Overall this is a great guy flick, it has action, it has explosions, it has car chase scenes, snipers, bar brawls, weaponry ... what else could you ask for on a night at the movies!
Pros well paced, great story, fairly accurate to the book
Cons rosamund pike's acting just fell flat
Yes, I recommend this movie.
