The movie was entertaining from an objective perspective. It was a good story, the acting was great, and it had some fun moments.
However if you're trying to compare it to the book, or even worse, the Lord of the Rings, you'll be a little disappointed.
Jackson added more to this story than he did with LOTR, and some of it seemed a little superfluous and changed the story line unnecessarily.
If you are a Lord of the Rings fan you should go see it though, because it connects nicely with the other three and I'd say successfully brings back the Middle Earth we all know and love.
