del Toro is a master at making monster movies, and these are some of the biggest monsters yet. This is a Godzilla meets Aliens meets Real Steel adventure that retains some of the magic of the originals, with a love story and marshal arts thrown in as well. What more can you want for summer entertainment?
Pros well paced, great story
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Zombie movies is a genre that lends itself to some of the finest low-budget filmmaking, and has launched the careers of many of the finest directors. So I was looking forward to seeing what could be done in this genre with A-list stars and a seemingly unlimited budget. From this example, it doesn't help. It was a good action-packed thriller, but like so many action movies, it starts to wear thin in the middle. Sometimes I judge movies by whether I look at my watch in the middle, wondering when it will be over, and with this movie I looked at my watch a few times. WWZ is escapist summer entertainment, but for this viewer, it is little more than that.
Cons slow, unimaginative screenplay.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
