Daniel Day-Lewis was awesome as the "President of the United States, clothed in immense power!" His portrayal gives us an inside look at what the 16th president was like as a man, a husband, father and a leader. Sally Field was very convincing in her role as Mary "Molly" Todd Lincoln. But the stand out was Tommy Lee Jones; his stand out humor and sarcastic wit brought levity to the film while at the same time allowed us to understand the seriousness of issues of the times. All in all, this movie has the makings of numerous Oscar nominations...or at least it should in my opinion
