Overall a pretty good movie but typical of the "world about to end and one man in peril can save mankind". . Fast paced, Brad was good, edge of your seat. Story was a copy cat in some places and full of holes in others, but overall a great guilty pleasure.

What an amazing look into a very small window of time that has had such an enormous impact upon our lives and shaped American History. Currently America and the world have little understanding of the impact of slavery and the battle of the states, and how it was destroying the Unites States. Citizens killing citizens over commerce and tradition. Classism, racism and bigotry were deeply rooted in our nation and there were those who desired change and those who were fought fiercely to maintain it.
This film takes a detailed look at the vision, the journey and the men who made the commitment to ending slavery in the US forever.
The cast is amazing. There are so many stellar performances that the Oscar and Golden Globe nominations should be record setting. Be prepared… the story id detailed and moves slowly. It is intentional to make you more vested in the experience.
Relax and enjoy all the details, the magnificent performances and humor!
